Getting to Knoxville

Just 35 miles southeast of Iowa's capital in Des Moines, you will find the greatest half-mile dirt track in the world. Most races run in the evening, so you can spend your days enjoying the many sights in Marion County, dropping a fishing line in Lake Red Rock, browsing in the Dutch community of Pella, or taking advantage of Des Moines.

Des Moines attractions include historic downtown and East Village, Adventureland, and in mid-August, the great Iowa State Fair.

Knoxville Municipal Airport

Knoxville Municipal Airport has a 4,000 X 75 ft single concrete runway and an adjacent parallel taxiway. The airport includes 34 T hangar facilities, a maintenance facility, two community hangars, fuel farm, and ramp space with 18 tie-down areas. An AWOSS Weather System is also located on site.

The terminal area consists of a lobby, conference room, pilot lounge, restrooms, office space and kitchenette.
