“The Hitman” returned to Knoxville in 2014, winning the "Lyle Boyd Hard-charger Award", passing the most cars in feature competition. He would finish a career-best 12th in the season point standings.
Mike was the recipient of the “Most Improved Driver” in the 360 class in 2008. Since his first full year at Knoxville in 2004, Mike has steadily climbed in the point standings. He grabbed his first career feature win in 2008 at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa with the Sprint Invaders. He plans to focus on Knoxville and the Sprint Invaders series in 2014.
A third generation driver along with brother CJ, Mike Jr. worked on his father’s pit crew at Knoxville from the age of 10. After competing in go-karts for a year and a half, it was on to sprints at the age of 18.
