Bio:

2016 would see Ian finish third in the Knoxville standings. In 2015, Ian Madsen turned in another solid season, finishing second in the final point standings with the competitive National Sprint League series. He would end up fourth in points at Knoxville.

He realized a dream when winning the 2014 410 track title at Knoxville. He and brother Kerry became the first brother duo to win 410 track championships at Knoxville. He also won the prestigious Capitani Classic in 2014.

In 2013, Ian won the $50,000 Sydney Speedway Challenge in his native Australia. He followed that up, winning in his first outing with new owner, Bret Nehring at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. The speed continued, and Ian was in the Knoxville title race until championship night. In addition, he picked up his first career World of Outlaws feature win at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota and three big races totaling $20,000 at the Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota.
