JDRF Fundraiser Scheduled for May 30

Thursday, May 28, 2015
This weekend’s Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series #7 race is the annual Pella Corp and JDRF Are Racing to a Cure For Diabetes Night. As part of the fundraiser, a special coupon is available. For every $15 adult ticket purchased with the coupon for Saturday’s race, $5 will be donated to JDRF.

“It is so important for us to give back to great organizations like JDRF,” said Knoxville Raceway Promoter Brian Stickel. “We have been working with JDRF for years, and are happy to collaborate once again for this special fundraiser.”

In addition to the proceeds donated from ticket sales, fans are invited to a fundraiser dinner on Saturday, May 30th from 4:30pm to 7:00pm at Dyer Hudson Hall. The cost of the dinner is a free-will donation, with all donations benefitting JDRF. The dinner includes a hot dog or hamburger, chips, potato salad and a drink. McKenna Haase, Brian Brown, and other drivers will be at the dinner to sign autographs.

The 26th Annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Induction Banquet is also scheduled for Saturday. Tickets for the banquet are $25, and are available by phone at 1-800-874-4488.
