Sprint Car 101 Forums set for Knoxville in Oct. and Algona in Nov.
The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is pleased to announce its line-up of free and open-to-the-public Sprint Car 101 educational programs for the remainder of the year, which includes a bonus program in Algona, Iowa.
The regularly-scheduled program will take place on Thursday, October 16 at 7pm, in Knoxville with an evening featuring “Knoxville Nationals: The First Fifty Years” book authors (and Knoxville Raceway Track Historians) Eric Arnold & Bob Wilson.
The Sprint Car 101 ‘On the Road’ program will take place on Sunday, November 23, with an afternoon spotlighting North Central Iowa racing veteran and 2013 Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame inductee Norm Wiemers.
According to museum curator Tom Schmeh, “Due to last winter’s weather, we were forced to postpone our program with Eric Arnold and Bob Wilson. We are proud to finally bring that forum to life. We are also excited about working with Chad Meyer again at the Kossuth County Ag & Motorsports Museum in Algona on the afternoon with Norm Wiemers. It follows our very successful program up there this spring with Jim Edgington, Dick Forbrook and Stacy Redmond. I encourage sprint car fans in North Central Iowa to come out at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, to the Kossuth County Fairgrounds in Algona.”
Those individuals interested in learning more about the “Sprint Car 101” Third Thursday Series at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum are urged to visit www.sprintcarhof.com. There will be no programs in Knoxville in November and December.
