Weiler Tribute to the Lasoski Family presented by Iowa Lottery Set for August 1

KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 22, 2026) — Knoxville Raceway, the Sprint Car Capital of the World, is proud to announce a new partnership with Weiler and Iowa Lottery to elevate one of the most anticipated weekly events of the season on Saturday, August 1, the week prior to the 360 Knoxville Nationals.

The event will be renamed the “Weiler Tribute to the Lasoski Family presented by Iowa Lottery” and will feature a significant purse increase for both divisions, making it one of the richest weekly shows of the year.

The Knoxville Championship Series featuring the Leighton State Bank 410 sprint cars will compete for $10,033 to win and an impressive $2,033 to start the A Main.

The Randall Roofing 360 sprint cars will race for $3,333 to win and $1,033 to start the A Main.

Adding even more excitement to the night, a driver who can sweep both feature events will earn a $5,033 bonus courtesy of ShopRico.com, creating a lucrative challenge for competitors willing to take on double-duty.

“This event has become one of the highest-attended weekly shows over the years with the buildup to our Nationals events,” said General Manager Jason Reed. “It’s been great to see more partners wanting to support our weekly series and our race teams with an opportunity to compete for a very nice purse.”

The event will pay tribute to the legendary Lasoski family, whose influence has shaped generations of racers and fans at Knoxville Raceway.

“There is no denying the legacy that the Lasoski family has had on Knoxville Raceway over the past five decades,” said Track Historian Eric Arnold. “People know Danny Lasoski and Brian Brown, of course, but without George Lasoski’s influence, neither of them becomes who they are today. Add in the late Barbara Lasoski and her brother Tom Corbin, and their contributions are woven into the fabric of this race track. It’s terrific to honor their family with this event.”

“We’re incredibly thankful and honored as a family to have an event of this magnitude happening at Knoxville Raceway,” said Brian Brown. “Racing has been in our blood for as long as we can remember—from Grandpa George, to Danny, and now to me. Some of our greatest memories have been made at Knoxville Raceway.

“Our goal is not only to create the biggest weekly payout in Knoxville Raceway history, but also to bring in the largest weekly crowd,” added Danny Lasoski. “We hope to fill the pits with cars and pack the grandstands with fans for a truly special night.”

With support from partners like Weiler, Iowa Lottery, ShopRico.com and Kevin Rudeen the month of August at Knoxville Raceway has become even bigger, with the August 1 event now serving as a major lead-in to the Knoxville Nationals festivities.
