Bill W's Notes for 6/14

It's a beautiful night in the Sprint Car Capital of the World! It's Night #2 of the Premier Chevy Dealers Clash featuring the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws! The Knoxville Championship Series 360 class will also be in action!

Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CST. If you can make it, it's another beautiful night here in Knoxville! If last night's racing was any indication, things are going to be awesome here.

WoO drivers are split into two groups...

6:30 p.m. Group 1 is hot lapping and will qualify next, 2 laps on the clock...

Windom's motor is laying down and he just gets one lap in...

Austin McCarl sets quick time in the first group at 15.508 seconds over Anthony Macri, Gio Scelzi, Ryan Timms and Bill Balog....

The second group is up next...

Pulkrabek is up in smoke before he can get a lap in...he gets a lap at the end...

Brad Sweet sets the standard in the second group at 15.857 seconds. David Gravel is second qiuck, followed by Buddy Kofoid, Brenham Crouch and Emerson Axsom....Tasker Phillips is a scratch for the night...

360 Qualifying/Hot laps are next, 3 laps on the clock, 200 points towards tonight's feature lineup for quick time, 198 pts for 2nd quick and 196 pts for 3rd and so on...

Aidan Zoutte slows to a stop on the wall in turn four...he backed it in, but kept it on all fours...

Sawyer Phllips is your quick timer at 17.072 seconds. Tyler Groenendyk is second quick, followed by Timothy Smith, Riley Goodno and Jamie Ball...

Non-Qualifier Races are up first for the WoO...these are the cars who didn't qualify in the top 20 in their respective groups, 8 laps, top two to the back of the heats...

Non-Qualifier One

Moran is late to staging and will start at the rear...Watt leads Goodno, Ben Brown, Miller and Corbet....Corbet is up to fourth...Corbet takes 3rd from Brown...Corbet now gets by Goodno for the second adn final transfer...Watt and Corbet will start at the back of heats one and two...

Non-Qualifier Two

Jeffrey, RJ Johnson and Tasker Phillips will not start..Bogucki is to the lead ahead of Gee, Sawyer, Randall and I Madsen...Gee now slides by Bogucki fo rthe lead....Sawyer is reeling him in for the final transfer....Randall is there as well...Sawyer with a slide job on Bogucki in turn four for 2nd...Randall now by Bogucki for third...Gee and Sawyer will transfer to heats three and four...

WoO heats, heats are 8 laps, top 5 to the A main, top 2 to the Dash...

Heat one

Balog leads A McCarl, SCelzi, Haudenschild and Schuchar, 1 lap in, Watt into turn two wall...he is ok...Balog leads A McCarl, Scezli, Haudenschild, Schuchart, Co Macedo, Bayston, C McCarl, Kahne and Morrell..Balog chooses the inside line on the restart....Watt is in the work area to change a flat left rear...Watt restarts at the tail...Haudenschild to 2nd on therestart, Scelzi takes 3rd....Schuchart is 4th as A McCarl, the quick timer is back in fifth and under fire from Bayston...Co Macedo now up to 6th...Balog wins this one...

Heat two

TMAC pulls off...Timms leads Macri, Ch Martin, Williamson and Crawley...now K Johnson is by Crawley into the 5th spot....Timms wins this one...

Heat three

This is a super-stout heat! Sweet leadas early over Kofoid, Axsom, Reutzel and Schuerenberg...now Ca Macedo is by Schuerenberg for the final trnasfer on lap two....Rico is 6th on lap 3...Reutzel slides by Axsom for third...Rico reeling in Ca Macedo for the final trnasfer....Rico flies by Ca Macedo for 5th and goes to work on Axsom....Sweet wins this one....Reutzel to 2nd, Rico to 4th...

Heat four

Gravel leads Day, Crouch, Madsen and Schatz...Brown already from 10th to 6th....Madsen now shoots under Crouch for 3rd...Brown over the cushion and HIckle to 6th...Gravel will win it....

WoO D main is next, 8 laps, top two to the C main...

J Anderson leadsa it over Mincer, Hughes, Windom...2 laps in and Mincer is upside down hard into the wall....horrific crash, but he is o.k....Windom also retires...6 to go, Anderson leads Hughes, Worthington, Moran, Pulkrabek, Light, Peterson, S Johnson and Milan...Anderson takes the inside line on the restart...Moran is up to 3rd on the restart....J Anderson and Hughes move on...

360 Heats, 7 laps, 100 points fo rthe win towards toinight's feature lineup, 97 pts for 2nd, 94 pts for 3rd adn so on...

Heat one

Ai Zoutte will not start...Selvage leads Hill, Cam Martin, Giles and Goodno...Sawyer trying to reel in Goodno for 5th...he's got it....Selvage will win this one...

Heat two

Graves will not start...Bickett leads early over leavitt, Tasker, Groenendyk and Rost...now Ball battling with Rost for 5th...Leavitt to the lead as he drives under Bickett on lap two...now Tasker has momentum and gets to 2nd...Tasker challenging Leavitt on the high side for the point and he has it on the white flag lap...Tasker will win this one....

Heat three

Higday leads ealry over Vande Voort, TMAC, Smith and Garner....TMAC by Vande Voort for 2nd...Garner under Smith for 4th...Garner now by Vande Voort for 3rd....Higday is your winner....

WoO C main., 10 laps, top 2 to the B...

TMAC, Ball and J Anderson do not start....Watt leads early over Lynch, Corbet, Sawyer and Randall...Randall under Sawyer now for 4th with 7 to go...Randall now gets by Corbet for 3rd on the high side in a good race...Randall has a ways to catch Lynch for the final trasnfer...Watt wins it, Randall makes the pass in the last corner for the transfer!

Dash, 6 laps in distance, determines starting positions 1-8 in the A main...

Balog leads Sweet, Timms and Day...now Sweet is around Balog for the lead with four to go...Sweet will win it and heads to the pole...

WoO B main 12 laps, top four to the A...
