Welcome to Vermeer Night here at the Knoxville Raceway! Forecasts earlier in the week weren't the best, but it couldn't be a more beautiful night in the "Sprint Car Capital!" If able, come on out and enjoy the 89 sprint cars signed in! Included in the 41 410's are some visitors from the High Limit Series icluding Tyler Courtney, Brent Marks, Aaron Reutzel, Sye Lynch, Corey Day, Brenham Crouch, and Danny Sams III. They'll be battling the usual tough suspects including Ryan Timms who has been on a roll lately, Brian Brown, Austin McCarl, Kerry Madsen and the rest.

New driver combos tonight, Christopher Thram is the new driver of the TKS Motorsports 2KS, Joe Beaver is in the VanderEcken 10, Kerry Madsen is doing double-duty, filling in for TMEZ in the Verville 01 in the 360 class. Brandon Wimmer is in the 6K normally piloted by Kaleb Johnson, and Danny Sams III is in the DGRD 6T.

Brett Moffitt owns his on Pro Sprint now (13m). Dave Seddon is in his first night in the Thorpe Enterprises 4s Pro Sprint.

Pro Qualifying will be up first, 3 laps on the clock, with 200 points towards tonight's feature lineup for quick time, 198 pts for 2nd quick, 196 pts for 3rd quick and so on...

J kinder is your quick timer at 17.566 seconds. Matt Allen is second quick, followed by Hunter Lane, Luke Lane and Brody Johnson...

Jackson Gray was light at the scales and will be DQed...tough start to his first night ever here at Knoxville...

The cars are divided into two groups...

Ryan Timms comes out dead last and sets the standard in the first group at 15.498 seconds. Carson McCarl was second quick, followed by Austin McCarl, Brian Brown and Scott Bogucki...

Group two is next...

Thram is having trouble firing the car...he will get a lap at the end of qualifying...

Aaron Reutzel is quickest in the second group at 15.523 seconds, followed by Tyler Courtney, Kerry Madsen, Brent Marks and Corey Day....

Stelzer leads Thompson, K HIldreth, Young and L Lane...Young uses the high side to get around K Hildreth for third...Young reeling in Thompson for 2nd...He's got it...Stelzer wins it...

Cam Martin is out fast ahead of Rost, Cl Garner, Reutzel and T Smith...Sawyer is under Smith for the 5th spot....Rost trying to reel in the leader...Cam will hold them off...

Selvage leads early over Giles, Ball, Hickle and TMAC...TMAC under Hickle in turn 2 to take 4th on lap 2...Selvage will win it....

Heat three

Potter leasd Leavitt, Madsen, TAsker and Mueller...now Groenendyk is in the top five...Leavitt trying to work under POtter for the lead....Potter will hold them off in this one...

Crouch leads Kaeding,. Bogucki, Tiimms and A McCarl...Timms now gets a roll outside Bogucki and takes over third...Timms slides by Kaeding now at the halfway point for 2nd...Timms now reeling in th leader...he wins it on the last lap!

Heat two

Crawley leads Ball, Martin, C McCarl and Lynch...Brown now by Lynch for 5th...Br Brown now by C McCarl for 4th...Crawley will win it...

Heat three

Bayston leads his teammate Day, Thram, Wimmer and Madsen...Thram is off...caution for Thram with 5 to go...that negates a Day pass for the lead...Bayston leads Day, Madsen, Wimmer, Reutzel, S Johnson, corbet, Beaver and Pulkrabek...Day to the lead on teh restart, Madsen is third, then Wimmer and Reutzel...caution for Beaver slowing on the frontstretch, he brings it in...4 to go, Day leads Bayston, Madsen, Wimmer, REutzel, S Johnson, Corbet and Pulkrabek...Reutzel trying to find his way around Wimmer...Day is 11th in today's Xfinity race and a heat race winner...

Heat four

J Anderson leads Sawyer, Mincer, Courtney and Hickle...Courtney slides by Mincer to take 3rd...Hickle uses the low side to take fourth from Mincer...Marks now works under Mincer and takes 5th...J Anderson pulling away from the field here...he will win it!

360 B main, 10 laps, top four to the A..

Bickett leads Alexander, Bryson and Co Garner...Nellis runs 5th...now Bryson powers under Alexander for 2nd...he battles back in a good race...Co Garner is by Alexander...Alexander now over the right rear of Garner...big wheelie, and back rolling..Nellis gains in 5th...Nellis is off...Bickett is up in smoke coming for the white! Bryston will win it, and Co Garner, Alexander and Ai Zoutte will transfer...

Pro Sprints A main, 15 laps, $800 to win...point invert is 8...

Young leads Wignall, Allen, Johnson and Thompson...Kinder into the top 5 on lap four...lapped traffic for Young...Navritil stops five laps in...Young lead Wignall, Allen, Johnson and Kinder...Thompson to 4th and Kinder to 5th...Kinder and Allen into fourth and fifth on lap 7....Young back in lapped traffic...Allen gets into the lapped car of Seddon and limps off...caution flag...Young leads Wignall, Kinder, Johnson and Thompson back to green....Kinder to 2nd and Thompson to 4th on the restart...L Lane into the top five on lap 12...L Lane past Thompson to 4th with two to go...Young wins it!

Thram, Beaver and Potter will not start...Jeffrey leads Sawyer, Gennetten, Goodno and Corbet...Lynch now drives around Corbet for 5th...Sawyer takes the lead...Pulkrabek comes to a stop with 9 to go, Sawyer leads Jeffrey, Gennetten, Goodno, Lynch, Corbet, Ben Brown, Doney, Sams, S Johnson, Bellm, Hughes, Paulus, Worthington, RJ Johnson and Light...Flat right rear for Pulkrabek, he's towed to the work area...Pulkrabek will rejoin the field...RJ Johnson spins after contact in turn two...Worthington pulls in with a flat left rear...Goodno is up to third as he gets by Gennetten...Corbet and Lynch battling for 5th...Gennetten hits the bottom of two to get back by Goodno for 3rd...Lynch trying to catch Goodno for the final transfer...Sawyer, Jeffrey, Gennetten and Goodno move on...

T Smith is in the work area...he had a seat belt issue and will get his spot back...Giles comes to a stop on the frontstretch to bring caution...complete restart....Giles will go to the work area...no guaranteed time as it was not a tire issue...Tasker leads Cl Garner, TMAC, Groenendyk, Reutzel...1 lap in, Groenendyk gets a bit sideways and is tapped by Reutzel to bring caution...17 to go, Tasker leads Cl Garner, TMAC, Reutzel, Hickle and Madsen....Hickle and Madsen are in a good battle for 5th...Madsen is under Hickle to take over fifth on lap 4...Tasker in lapped traffic on lap 6....Co Garner stops on the frontstretch, 8 to go, Tasker leads Cl Garner TMAC, Reutzel, Madsen, Hickle, Cam Martin, Sawyer, Selvage, Rost, Goodno, T Smith, Higday....TMAC slides by Cl Garner on lap 12 for 2nd...Reutzel to 3rd on lap 13, Madsen to 4th...Tasker in lapped traffic with three to go...Tasker wins his 2nd of the year here!

Reutzel is penalized a row for being late to staging...Gennetten was also late, but is starting in the back row..Timms lead Courtney, C McCarl, Day and Br Brown...Madsen shoots from 6th to 3rd on lap 2, ending with a big slider on C McCarl for third! Day by C MCarl to 4th on lap 5...Timms in lapped traffic on lap 6...A McCarl passes C McCarl for 5th on lap 10...Courtney gaining on Timms in traffic...Courtney slides in front of Timms to lead lap 14...Day by Madsen for 3rd...Day shoots a slider by Timms for second with three to go...Madsen to 3rd at the white flag...Courtney gets slowed by a lap car in turn four coming for the checkers, here comes Day! Courtney holds him off by .037 of a second! His third win here...
