Knoxville Raceway to Release Further Rules Regarding Engines

For Immediate Release

[i March 26,2010 Contact: John McCoy - johnm@knoxvilleraceway.com]

Knoxville, Iowa - Due to the interest being shown in the building of the “Knoxville Open Sprint Engine”, it was decided by Knoxville Raceway officials that a more complete set of technical rules regarding the heads was needed. It is hoped that these specifications will be made public within the next week.

According to John McCoy, Competition Director at Knoxville, “It seems there is an intent by some people to interpret the rules not quite the way we envisioned. I think we will add one more measurement to the heads. It will definitely be in the intake port area. If we don’t do it that way, we may just restrict the intake stack. I want to talk with a few more builders before we make our final decision.”

As was stated in the earlier press release, anyone wishing to build one of these engines should contact John McCoy at Knoxville Raceway.
