Growing up in Knoxville Devin always had a strong interest in racing but never had to opportunity to be apart of a team. He would go on to graduate from Knoxville High School in 2008. While also earning an Associates Degree in Business at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, IA. Devin started racing outlaw dirt karts in 2008 at the English Creek Speedway with the help of his grandparents. He got to know the guys at Outlaw Karting of Iowa (now White Lightning Motorsports) in 2008. Devin would race outlaw karts for 3 years before taking a small career break to save up for his dream of racing a sprint car. While saving his money he would crew for the WLM 5J and learn every bit he could about driving and wrenching on the car. in 2015 Devin finally had everything he needed to get behind the wheel of the #5J. He would go on over the past 2 season to win 7 out of 12 A-Main events in his short career.
