Mike started racing in 2005 with the Mid America 305 group running a handful of shows. In 2006, he returned to finish 9th in points. He would go on to win the championship on the strength of a win in Bloomfield in 2007. After finishing second in 2008 points, he took two years off returned to race at Knoxville off and on the past three seasons.
In 2013, Mike was named Rookie of the Year after finishing fifth in points. He has remained a fixture at Knoxville, never registering outside the top ten in points. His first win came in 2017, and 2018 was his best finish (fourth) in the point race. Mike returned to the top five in the class in 2020 and climbed another notch in 2021, finishing fourth.
In 2022, Mike's tenth season at Knoxville, on the strength of three wins and eight podium finishes he claimed his first track championship! He followed that up with another title in 2024.
