*Drivers/Owners can miss a maximum of four point shows to remain eligible for points. Points will only be awarded if hot laps are completed in all classes.
*For World of Outlaws shows and the Capitani Classic for 410's, 200 points will be awarded to the driver. If the driver earns over 200 points, they will keep them.
*Feature Alternates or Provisionals receive no track points.
*Teams may only compete in one class for points. Owners may field a car in multiple classes and receive points as long as it is a different owner/driver combination in each class. Drivers may not run for points in more than one class.
*As determined by Knoxville Raceway Officials, 100 points may be awarded to any team in good standing that is unable to compete due to issues as spelled out in the "unforeseen circumstances rule."
WEEKLY RACE NIGHT PROCEDURES
Race Night Lineup Structure
Our system to line up events is the same for all sprint car classes on weekly race nights. Drivers start with time trials.
Qualifying
If there are 32 or more cars, the field will be split into two qualifying groups. The first group will comprise heats one and two, and the second qualifying group makes up heats three and four. If there are six heats, the first group makes up heats one through three, and the second group, heats four through six.
Heats
Heats have an invert of four, with quick time starting outside row two of the first heat, second quick starting outside of row two of the second heat, and so on.
For less than 32 cars, there will be three heats, with the top six finishers in the heats qualifying for the feature, with the remainder going to the B main.
In the case of four heats (32-49 cars), the top five finishers will qualify for the feature. The remainder will go to the B main (and C if necessary).
For 50 or more cars, six heats will be run with the top three going to the feature. The remainder will go to two B mains (and C if necessary).
A main
The A main will be lined up by heat finish. The last heat winner for each class will draw an invert for the feature (4, 6, 8, 10 or 12). Cars will line up in the A main according to their heat finish.
There will be front row tie-breakers…
Feature Front Row Tie-breakers with three heats…
If the feature invert is four, the quickest qualifier finishing second in the heats will fill the pole. The remaining cars will line up according to their finish in the heats in order of heats run.
If the feature invert is eight, the quickest two qualifiers finishing third in the heats will fill the front row. The remaining cars will line up according to their finish in the heats in order of heats run.
If the feature invert is ten, the quickest qualifier finishing fourth in the heats will fill the pole. The remaining cars will line up according to their finish in the heats in order of heats run.
Lineups with Four or Six Heats
With split qualifying, the feature starting lineup will be alternated between qualifying groups. For example, if the invert is eight, the driver in heat one (first qualifying group) will go outside row four of the feature, and the driver in heat three (second qualifying group) will go inside. The remaining spots will follow with heat two, heat four and so on. Six heat formats will line up in order starting with heat one, heat four, heat two, heat five, heat three and heat six
Feature Front Row Tie-breakers with four heats…
If the feature invert is six, the quickest two qualifiers finishing second in the heats will fill the front row. The remaining cars will line up according to their finish in the heats in order of heats run.
If the feature invert is ten, the quickest two qualifiers finishing third in the heats will fill the front row. The remaining cars will line up according to their finish in the heats in order of heats run.
If there is a tie in qualifying position between two qualifying groups, group one will get priority.
B main
Row one of the B main will consist of the quickest two cars in qualifying, who finished their heat outside of a transfer spot (if there is split qualifying, the fastest by qualifying position from each group will make up the first row). If two B mains are run, the quickest two qualifiers in each qualifying group will make up their respective front rows. The rest will be lined up by heat finish, starting with the first non-qualifying finisher in each heat, with cars lined up in order after that.
When three heats are run, the top six finishers in the B will transfer to the back of the A. In the case of four heats, the top four finishers will transfer. When six heats are run the top three in two B mains will transfer.
