"Double Down" Jason Sides is one of the more outgoing WoO competitors on tour. He began racing sprint cars near his native Memphis in 1993, and started running more with the ASCS in 1996, when he was named "Most Improved Driver of the Year". His willingness to help others culminated in the series "Sportmanship Award" in 1997.

In 2001, Jason went 410 racing, and took home Rookie of the Year honors with the WoO Gumout series. That season he was also awarded with the National 410 Rookie of the Year Award from the NSCHoF, and he was awarded Knoxville Nationals Rookie of the Year. Moving on to WoO in 2003, he was sixth in points, and the Rookie of the Year.

In 2009, Jason won twice on the tour and was consistently a top five car, finishing a career-high fifth in the final point standings.
