2009 marked Gregg Bakker’s third year of full-time racing in Knoxville’s 360 class. A typical weekend sees Gregg compete at Knoxville and then return to the Huset’s Speedway near his home in Sioux Falls for some 410 action. Gregg won the first two races of 2008, and registered a fourth place point standing at the end of the year. He also garnered the 360 “Owner of the Year” Award in 2008. That honor was repeated in 2009, and Gregg added another feature win on his way to a sixth place point standing.
Gregg has claimed over 60 wins including the 2009 and 2002 Cheater’s Day event at Huset’s, the 2004 Nebraska Cup at Eagle Raceway, and the 2007 Jackson (MN) Nationals. He is a two-time 410 track champion (2004, 2005) at Huset’s, and is also adept on the quad-runners, capturing at least one quad win each winter from 1993 to 2004 at the Tulsa Shootout.
