Ricky's first full season at Knoxville in 2009 may be best remembered by its ending on national television. A severe leg fracture was the result of a harrowing crash in turn one during the Knoxville Nationals shown LIVE on the Speed Channel.
Ricky is back to 100% and looking forward to the competition at Knoxville in 2010. Weekly treks from Colorado were made with his father, and Ricky registered four top ten finishes in 360 competition. Before focusing on Knoxville, Ricky reigned as the 2006 ASCS-Rocky Mountain Rookie of the Year.
Ricky’s best finish at Knoxville came in 2008 with a 5th place finish. Previous to racing at Knoxville, Ricky had several successful karting years with 3 track championships.
