Lucas is a 24 year old second generation driver (Randy) from the heart of central Pennsylvania. Randy was named 2009 WoO Mechanic of the Year. Lucas's 2008 rookie season with the WoO was interrupted with a serious back injury at Granite City (IL), but he came back to finish the season strong and won Rookie of the Year honors with the series.
After a very successful young career in quarter midgets and micro-sprints, Lucas jumped to the tough 410 circuit in central PA at the age of 16 in 2003. In 2004, he became the youngest winner in the history of his hometown Williams Grove Speedway, and won two more there in 2005.
He was chosen for Dave Helm's #11H to drive with the National Sprint Tour in 2006, but was back home early on. He was ready for 2007, and won ten times that season, including the Old Spice Summer Sizzler at Eldora (OH) Speedway. His starts in central PA earned him a Selinsgrove Speedway championship and three wins at both Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove.
