Gage entered 2023 at Knoxville at the age of 16. He earned Northern Outlaw Sprint Association Rookie of the Year honors in 2022, finishing 11th in points. He finished 19th in the Knoxville Raceway point standings.

Gage raced Outlaw Dirt Karts at English Creek Speedway in 2020 and 2021, when he was named most improved driver. He started in go karts in 2011.
