Last season, in his fifth year running in the 410 class, Dakota registered four top ten finishes and a career best 12th place standing in points.

In 2015, he ran both the 410 and 360 classes on many nights. He also tackled the National Sprint League tour, driving for Harley Van Dyke there. The results showed on the track, as Dakota, who will turn 21 in 2017, has surged to 13th in the Knoxville point standings the past two seasons.

Dakota is a second generation driver and began his racing career at age eight, the same year he won his first race in a borrowed car and a borrowed engine on his fourth time out! Dakota recorded over twenty feature victories in the Outlaw Dirt Kart ranks before making his sprint car debut in 2012 at Knoxville Raceway.

In his rookie campaign in the 305 class, Dakota showed steady improvement, earning a sixth place standing at season’s end. He moved up to the 410 class in 2013, finishing 19th in points. He climbed two more spots in 2014.
