Bio:

Grandson of World of Outlaws car owner, Tom Wimmer, Brandon spent a lot of time around that series growing up. After running go-karts starting at the age of five, he moved on to mini-sprints and then 410 sprint cars in 2002.

He was named the “National 410 Rookie of the Year” in 2002, as well as capturing the same award with the Great Lakes Outlaw Sprint Series (GLOSS). In 2003, he won his first two sprint races (Muskingum County (OH) Speedway and Kokomo (IN) Speedway). In 2004, he competed exclusively with the WoO, breaking a track record at the LaSalle (IL) Speedway and qualifying for the King’s Royal. He ran the full WoO tour in 2005, and in 2006, paired with current car owner, Alan Barton for two wins (I-55 (MO) Raceway and Farmington (MO) Speedway). He made his first Knoxville Nationals finale in 2010.

In 2007, he won his biggest event to date, pairing with California owner Dennis Roth to win the Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup at the Skagit Speedway in Washington. In all, Brandon recorded six wins that season. In 2008, Brandon’s season was cut short at Knoxville with mechanical problems, but he did pick up a 305 win at the “Sprint Car Capital of the World."

Entering 2024, Brandon has accumulated 28 410 wins in his career.
