Since he started racing 4-wheelers at the age of 11, Mike Moore has been hooked on racing, have won numerous races and championships in that class. After starting a stock car career at age 14, Mike moved up to sprints in 2001 at the age of 22.
In 2004, Mike made the weekly trek to Brandon, South Dakota, and the Huset’s Speedway, where he finished 8th in points and was named the track’s “Rookie of the Year”. Since 2002, Mike has been a regular here at the Knoxville Raceway in the 410 class in his #69. Persistence paid off for Mike in the beginning, as he had to wait until May of his second year to make his first Knoxville feature.
Mike hit a personal highlight by qualifying for the B main at the 2008 Knoxville Nationals. In the spring of 2009 Mike and his wife, Heather, gave birth to twin boys Logan and Laney. The Moore's operate a family oriented race team with very limited help and are always looking for more help. One of the few GRASSROOTS racers, Mike builds his own engines, cars, and parts.
He started his 2009 race season with a 1st in the outlaw three-wheeler and 2nd in the open Quads at the Battle in the Barn At VETS auditorium in Des Moines.
