Paul began racing quarter midgets in 2003 at the young age of 6. He advanced to mini-sprints at age 9 and after competing in various classes, raced on the POWRi Micro Sprint tour for four years. In 2012, he moved up to a winged sprint car while also running a handful of Micro Sprint races.

Since, he has won multiple championships with the Midwest Open Wheel Series (MOWA), and is fourth in career wins with the Sprint Invaders. He has over 50 sprint car wins to his credit
