Bio:
After a successful go-kart career, Jimmy Light moved as a teenager to the Midwest to learn the basics of working and building racecars. He scored a few top fives as a driver, crew chief and mechanic in USAC's Ford Focus series. 2005 brought his first midget wins, and 2007 saw him move into sprints, scoring three wins, including the Dick Gaines Memorial at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana. He was crowned track champion there in 2008 after the track's reconfiguration.
After helping with the family business for three years back in PA after a theft of his racing operation, Jimmy returned in 2012. With his wife, he founded Horsepower Indy in Indianapolis. He picked up his first 410 winged win that year at Mercer Raceway in Western PA. He is aiming for Knoxville Raceway Rookie of the Year honors in 2014.
