Bio:

“The Beav” returned in 2009, driving Dwight Snodgrass’ #20 in the 360 class to a top five run that included a pair of second place finishes in June and July. DMJ is back in 2010, with an eye towards a championship.

Dennis started running at Knoxville in 1991, and campaigned for a dozen years in the 410 class. After garnering his first 410 win in 1995 in Burlington, patience paid off and he got his first win at Knoxville on August 3, 1996. He finished fourth in the point standings that year, driving for sprint and Indy car owner Larry Cahill. He was also awarded the “Most Improved Driver Award” that season.

Dennis finished 5th in points in 1997, driving for Bob Thompson for most of the season. 1998 was tough, as he split time between four car owners. In 1999, he decided to do things on his own. That resulted in a career-best third place in the standings, and an award for being 410 “Owner of the Year”. On June 12, he turned the double by winning the 410 feature and the 360 Nationals in one night. He would also claim the 360 Nationals in 2003.

After the 2002 season, Dennis needed a change and went to the West Coast to drive for Morrie Williams and the #0. He finished second in Golden State Challenge points that season, was the Calistoga track champion, and won the prestigous Gary Patterson Classic at that track. Injuries on and off the track have plagued him since, but he was ready for a new challenge in 2009.
