KNOXVILLE RACEWAY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION PARTNERS WITH MOTORSPORTS SAFETY EDUCATION FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE ADVANCED SAFETY TECHNOLOGY TO DRIVERS, OFFICIALS

WHAT: The Knoxville Raceway Charitable Organization (KRCO) has partnered with Motorsports Safety Education Foundation (MSEF), to provide - free of charge - Lifesquare, an advanced technological safety application for all drivers who participated in the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank and drivers competing in the 5-hour ENERGY Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey's General Stores.

Knoxville Raceway, through KRCO, is the first track in all of motorsports to provide the cutting-edge safety technology for its drivers.

Lifesquare revolutionizes emergency care in motorsports with a personalized QR code located on each driver's helmet. Knoxville Raceway's safety crew has the ability to scan the QR code in times of emergency and access the drivers medical history, emergency contact information, insurance information and more. Knoxville Hospital will also be immediately alerted of a scanned QR code to better prepare for the patient's arrival.

More than 132 drivers have received Lifesquare at the conclusion of the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank. Twenty-nine track officials have also received personalized QR codes.

Both KRCO and Lifesquare representatives, along with a safety worker and hospital representative and driver Brian Brown will discuss the benefits of Lifesquare with the media.

WHEN: Friday, August 12, 5 p.m., central time

WHERE: Dyer Hudson Hall, Knoxville Raceway

WHO: Mike Long, Director of Operations, EMI

Maureen Nichols, President, KRCO

Mark Worrell, Knoxville Raceway Safety Crew and Knoxville Hospital

Brian Brown, Driver of the No. 21 Casey's General Stores/FVP Car
