Jetmore, KS – The Steve King Foundation is celebrating the memory of its namesake and 10 years of doing exactly what their slogan says, Helping Racing Families Heal, by announcing donate 88, a special fundraising campaign.

“The foundation was established for the purpose of helping the dirt track racing community and we are proud that we have been able to carry out that purpose while honoring Steve’s memory,” said Naomi King, Steve’s mother. “By being a conduit for the racing community to help their own when there is a need, we have been able to provide over $300,000 for more than 150 individuals and families across 26 states, Australia and Canada.”

To commemorate 10 years, the foundation is launching a special fundraising campaign: donate 88. The goal of the campaign is to raise $88,888 in honor of Steve who proudly drove the #88 throughout his racing career.

“We received an $88 donation and that has stuck with me. It is the inspiration behind the donate 88 campaign,” declared Danette King Amstein, Steve’s sister. “We have faith that 1010 people, symbolizing the 10 years, will donate $88 each to reach our goal of raising $88,888 during the next three months. Of course, we will accept larger donations too!”

To make a donation text donate 88 to 620.450.4604. You can follow the progress of the campaign on our website, Facebook page and Twitter feed.
