FVP RETURNS TO KNOXVILLE NATIONALS AS MULTI-PLATFORM PARTNER

Wednesday, July 20, 2016
FVP, a premier auto parts brand in North America and internationally, is super charging sprint car racing's biggest event as a major partner of the 2016 5-hour ENERGY® Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey's General Stores. FVP has expanded its partnership beyond the traditional race night to include naming rights of several assets at Knoxville Raceway.

Friday night, August 12, of the 56th annual 5-hour ENERGY® Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey's General Stores, will now be FVP Preliminary Night. The brand, based in Eagan, Minn., will also be the title sponsor of the FVP Flag Stand featuring National Sprint Car Hall of Fame flagman, Doug Clark, the FVP caution periods throughout the Knoxville Nationals and the FVP Checkered Flag that will be awarded to the champion of the event.

"We are very excited to be associated with sprint car racing, for what it does for our brands nationally but also as a way of partnering locally with key properties," commented Jay Litsey, VP Marketing for Factory Motor Parts.

The 2016 event marks the fourth-consecutive year of FVP's partnership with the most prestigious sprint car event in the world. Factory Motor Parts, the parent company of FVP, has been a partner previously of the Knoxville Nationals with their brands SuperClean and SPLASH.

"We're proud to continue the relationship Knoxville Raceway and FVP have built throughout the years," said Kendra Jacobs, Director of Marketing at Knoxville Raceway. "FVP is a strong supporter of dirt track racing throughout many series and their sponsorship of Knoxville Raceway driver Brian Brown. They have a passion for this sport that we're happy to have on the grounds throughout Nationals week.

"Their creativity in their partnership this year also shows the innovative thought processes of this company and how partnerships can be taken to the next level in dirt racing."
