The World of Outlaws sprint car tour visits Knoxville Raceway on June 13th for the Mediacom Shootout, and the drivers who compete at the track weekly in the Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series are ready to take down the competition.

2014 Knoxville Nationals winner Donny Schatz is ruling the World of Outlaws tour this season, racking up 11 wins and leading the driver points standings by over 100 points. In World of Outlaws points currently, Schatz has 4385 points, followed by Shane Stewart in second place with 4240 points. Kerry Madsen rounds out the top three with 4160 points.

Knoxville Raceway has many drivers who can give Schatz and his World of Outlaws comrades a run for their money – Brian Brown, Danny Lasoski, Terry McCarl, Justin Henderson, Tim Kaeding, Ian Madsen, Brooke Tatnell, Dusty Zomer, Danny Heskin, and Mark Dobmeier all have a very real chance at taking first in the competition.

The World of Outlaws Mediacom Shootout is the only chance for fans to see these touring drivers before the ultimate competition in August – the 55th Annual FVP Knoxville Nationals Presented by Casey’s General Store. This weekend’s race also includes 360’s, and is the ninth race in the Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series.

Tickets for the World of Outlaws Mediacom Shootout are on sale now, and are available online or by phone at 641-842-5431. Gates open for the race at 5:30pm.
