Eric Arnold) Knoxville, Iowa - The 54th FVP Knoxville Nationals Queen Contest will be held on Tuesday night August 5 at 7:00pm in the Dyer-Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds. This year’s Contest will be co-hosted by 1996 Knoxville Nationals Queen, Kendra Jacobs and announcer Kyle Luetters. This year marks the 40th year that a Knoxville Nationals Queen will be crowned.

13 contestants will vie for the crown. This year’s Queen Candidates are; Mallory Adams (Des Moines), Cheyenne Boyd (Knoxville), Alexandra Buzzo (Morgantown, WV), Jordyn Combs (Tipton, MO), Tabitha Fisher (Colfax), Morgan Kemenah (Burgoon, OH), Ally McClure (Bloomfield), Kirstie Priester (Rimersburg, PA), Mackenzie Roney (Herculameum, MO), Kayla Timm (Roseland, NE), Kila Timm (Roseland, NE), Delaney Woodruff (Knoxville), and Jacee Wren (College Station, TX).

“Being the Knoxville Nationals queen is, to this day, one of my favorite memories of growing up at the races,” said Jacobs. “To not only be at the greatest race in the sport, but also to be a part of it made that year really special for me. I'm flattered that I was asked to come back and co-host with Kyle. Beyond the crown and the pictures and everything else, these girls will make lifelong friends from this pageant. The whole event is a bonding experience with girls who all have a passion for racing. I know they'll all be a little nervous, but I hope they can get past that and really enjoy the whole experience."

"It's a tremendous honor to be one of the co-hosts of the 40th Annual Knoxville Nationals Queen Contest," said Luetters. "Getting the opportunity to work with former Miss Knoxville Nationals and MRN's "Winged Nation" co-host Kendra Jacobs is a great honor as well. Kendra embodies sprint car racing on multiple fronts and I'm sure her passion, knowledge and enthusiasm will add immensely to the quality of the event. The Queens Contest is a staple of Nationals week each year and the lineup of young ladies vying for the crown are unmatched."

The formal event is organized by Contest Coordinator, Christie Woodruff. This year’s judges are Livian Shaver, 2010 Nationals Queen Brooke Hickman, Deb Denison, Wes King, Knoxville Raceway Championship Cup driver Davey Heskin, and World of Outlaws driver Paul McMahan.

Special thanks to the following people for their support and donations to help put on the Knoxville Nationals Queen Contest: Knoxville Raceway, National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum, Jay Smith, Mr. C’s, 3M, Gibson Jewelry, Candi’s Flowers, and Denison Racing T’s.
